WHAT IS THIS PROGRAM ABOUT?
You might remember hearing about business owners receiving money from the government to make up for lost earnings during Covid. The program was called PPP. (Payroll Protection Plan). Unfortunately, self employed 1099 workers did not receive anything. Recently, a law was passed to open up covid funding to all 1099 workers. This includes delivery drivers!!
HOW DO I QUALIFY? As with any government grant, there are several factors involved in qualifying. This grant is primarily aimed at providing you with earnings you missed out on due to 1. contracting covid or quarantining because you thought you had covid. 2. Taking care of someone with covid. 3. Missing chances to work because your child’s school was closed.
